The PCE BASE Program promotes the safety, well-being, and development of every child while partnering with school and community to be the best choice for families.

Welcome to the PCE BASE Program!!

The Prairie Crossing BASE Program provides before care, after care, and full day care for students that attend Prairie Crossing Elementary School. Our program provides recreational based activities and fun for students during these times.

We offer a flexible weekly sign up and affordable rates. Our staff is the BEST in the District and our community of students is wonderful!!

Once students register, a link to the sign up calendar is sent via email to parents. The weekly sign up and payment are due by Wednesday midnight for the following week. Registration is good for one school year and renewed annually.

Weekly communication is sent to remind parents of sign up and to announce any upcoming information needed. All of the activities on full days are listed in the online calendar and in the weekly communications.

The parent handbook is available online and contains information on all aspects of the PCE BASE program.

Pick up and Drop off for BASE is at the Cafeteria door which is located on the north east side of the building.  Go to the end of the parking lot and follow the sidewalk to the wall of windows.  You will be greeted by one of our staff members.

Please review the website and read through the documents and let us know if you have any questions. We are so excited to have your child join our PCE BASE community!!

Request to Separate Accounts: Parents who wish to hold separate accounts within the same BASE program shall create their own accounts through the School Care Works online portal.  Parents shall inform the Program Manager they have separate accounts for the same family and we will split the registration fee between accounts by applying a credit for half the fee.  The Program Manager is unable to separate an established School Care Works account, so if there is an existing account, the other parent or guardian will need to open a new account.  We are unable to transfer payments or charges between accounts.  We are also unable to share account payment information with the other parent/guardian.

Role of the Individual Educational Plan (I.E.P.) and 504 Student Service Plan: BASE services fall outside the realm of the general education curriculum and are optional, and special education services outlined in the plans apply to the general education curriculum.  Some modifications and adaptations may apply to our BASE programs.  We ask parents to indicate if their child has an I.E.P. or 504 Student Service Plan on our registration forms to help us better understand the child's needs and provide the best support possible.

PCE BASE & COVID

We understand that COVID has presented challenging times.  Please make sure you send your child with 2 masks and remind them masks are to be worn at all times inside the building. Children should also bring their own water bottle.  Our drinking fountains are currently only available to refill water bottles.  Also send a snack for your child to have during aftercare.  We continually remind children to social distance during their time in BASE.  We also make sure to clean all surfaces and items with District/ Tri County Health Department approved disinfectant. Please visit the Useful Links Page to view additional COVID information. We have included the following video to show you the cafeteria door for drop off and the cafeteria & gym where BASE is located.
