Classroom Policies and Expectations

Water Bottles
Kids must bring water bottles to class and they must contain water. No other types of liquid are permitted. The cap must be fitted tightly so if the bottle falls over it does not spill. Water fountains will NOT be accessible.

Snacks
Students may bring a morning snack and an afternoon snack. Morning snack will be in the classroom and an afternoon snack will be outside during second recess.

E Learning
E learning will be a bit different than the remote learning students experienced in the spring. Since we are meeting face to face twice a week, the at-home learning and the school learning will be interdependent. The work completed at home will be vitally important to the work we will be doing in class. Assignments will be given that will prep students for the learning here at school. It will be purposeful and meaningful, not busy work. My hope is that the interdependence will become apparent to you and your child as we progress through the school year. It is also important that each child in your family have his/her own device. At-home learning on Friday will require students to log in at specific, designated times. If you need a device for your child at home, one can be requested from PCE. I will also be providing you with an at-home schedule that mimics our class day.

Volunteers
Unfortunately, no parent volunteers are allowed at this time.
