Hello! My name is Erin Sakryd.  I am so happy to be a part of the Prairie Crossing Family!  I have been with the Douglas County School District for 17 years and I have been teaching special education for 24 years.  I have worked in a variety of positions in both elementary and preschool throughout my career.  I live in Parker with my family and our loving yellow Lab, Mamie. My husband, Gary, and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary this past summer.  My girls are 18 and 15.  Hailey attends the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and Hanna is a Freshman and Ponderosa High School.  In our free time we love to spend time in the mountains hiking, biking, camping, skiing, and paddle boarding.
I grew up in Grand Junction, CO and attended the California Polytechnic University receiving a BA in English.  Following college I returned to Colorado and began teaching in Vail, CO.  I received my MA isn Special Education from the University of Colorado, Denver and hold additional endorsements in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Significant Needs, and Secondary English.
I am so excited to be a part of your child's school experience and doing what I can to make them the most successful student they can be!
