Meet The Staff

The Prairie Crossing BASE Staff all come from various backgrounds and experiences.  Together, we create a unique environment with many ways to integrate our teachings and learnings into the lives of all of the students we come in contact with.  We are child-oriented and strive to connect in individual ways to help each child develop and grow their foundations.  We work as a whole to bring the best to your family each and every day!!

Sara Clay:  Sara has been the PCE BASE Manager for the past 20 years since the school opened.  She has an extensive child development and education background and loves everything about kids!!  In her free time, Sara enjoys spending time with her family, going to the gym, and seeing movies.

Sheri Hernandez: Sheri has been the PCE BASE Manager for the past 20 years since the school opened.  She loves kids and being a part of their education and development!   Sheri enjoys spending time with her two dogs (even though the puppy sometimes acts like a destructive dinosaur) and she loves hockey!

Dana Winslow:  Dana has been the Assistant BASE Manager for the past 19 years.  Dana enjoys being creative with the kids and teaching them new and fun things!  Dana loves spending time her boys and loves sports!

Lars Stjernquist:  Lars has been a Senior Program Leader for the past 10 years.  Lars also works for the IT department with DCSD.  Lars enjoys Star Wars and Marvel movies.  He loves spending time with his friends and family.

Mitch Harwood:  Mitch has been a Program Leader for 4 years.  Mitch graduated high school in May 2019 and has graduated from Basic Training for the US ARMY Reserves.  Mitch enjoys video games and spending time with his friends.  

Charise Mosher:  Charise has been a Program Leader for 3 years.  She works in the front office also.  Charise loves spending time with her family and watching her daughter play sports.

Amber Rietsch:  Amber has been a Program Leader since June 2019.  Amber works in the ABC Program also.  Amber loves going to concerts and spending time with her family.

Gavin Claravall:  Gavin has been a Program Aide since June 2019.  He used to attend the PCE BASE Program when he was a child.  Gavin is a senior in high school and loves to play volleyball.

Safiyah Badahdah:  Safiyah has been a Program Aide since August 2019.  She attends college at Arapahoe Community College and she is studying Engineering.  Safiyah enjoys video games and spending time with her friends.

Jayden Pascua:  Jayden has been a Program Aide since September 2019.  He is a senior at Lutheran High School.  He loves art and playing volleyball.

Manuela Davila: Manuela has been a Program Aide since January 2020.  She is a senior at Chaparral High School.
