 2021-2022 Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten Registration for the 2021-2022 school year has now started! 

Children enrolling in Kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year must turn 5 years old on or before October 1, 2021

  • Please click HERE to download the 2021-2022 Kindergarten Registration packet
  • Packets can be returned to the PCE Office. Please return packet with ALL copies of documentation as requested on the cover sheet
  • Completed packets with documentation, can also be emailed to the PCE registrar, Lori.Strelow@dcsdk12.org
  • If you are unable to print - they are also available for pick-up from the PCE office

2021-2022 New 1st-6th Grade Registrations

  • If your child(ren) will be new to PCE for Grades 1st thru 6th in 2021, please use the Registration packet found HERE to register for the 2021-2022 School Year. 
  • Packets can be returned to the PCE Office.  Please return packet with ALL copies of documentation as requested on the cover sheet

Early Access to Kindergarten or First Grade

The Early Access Process will open Jan 1 through April 1, 2021. Under HB- 08 -1021, Early Access is designed for “highly advanced gifted” 4 or 5 year old children. It allows early access to kindergarten or first-grade for students who are academically gifted, socially and emotionally mature, in the top 2% or less of the gifted peer group, motivated to learn, ready for advanced placement, and who have exhausted the resources of preschool or home schooling.  NOTE: This law is NOT designed  to provide early access to school for those children who have missed the Oct. 1 age requirements.  Please review the process and more information on the Gifted Education Web Page under the Early Access tab linked HERE. Contact Heather.Groff@dcsdk12.org with any questions.

Current School Year

 2020-21 Kindergarten and 1st - 6th grade Registration

The registration packet for students new to DCSD for this year (2020-2021) can be found HERE. (If you are transferring from another school within DCSD - please email our registrar listed below for transfer instructions).  A copy of the following documents must be attached when submitting the packet to the PCE office:

• Birth Certificate
• Current Immunization Records

• Proof of Residency (warranty deed, deed of trust, or lease agreement)

Packets can be returned to the PCE Office. PCE office hours are from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Each year, Parents need to complete Express Check-In for each of their children enrolled in DCSD.   Please verify contact information, pay fees, and choose Media options.  Completing Express Check-In is mandatory for all Douglas County Families with Students in DCSD Schools. You will need your Parent Portal Login to access Express Check-In.  Please click HERE for the link to EngagED and Express Check-In.

Prairie Crossing Educational Alliance

PCEA is the Prairie Crossing parent association, similar to a PTA or PTO.  PCEA is comprised of parents, staff and community members who work together to enrich our students' experiences and to identify the needs of our school. Through fundraising we are able to provide supplemental supplies and resources as well as sponsor social activities. These resources will be directed toward educationally focused goals that address the needs of students, staff, parents, and community.
