3rd-6th Grade Choir Information!!

Hello all interested students and families! I am very excited to be able to direct the Prairie Crossing Elementary School Choir this year. This is a non-auditioned choir where students can come and sing their hearts out while working collaboratively as a unit. A choir can only work when we all work together!

Need to sign up???? Go to this link and fill out the Google Form!

Rehearsals will be on Thursday mornings starting at 7:30 in the music room. It will be an hour-long rehearsal, and students will be released to their classes afterwards. Attendance will be taken every morning. If your child cannot attend a rehearsal, please email me at Although we understand how difficult it is to schedule doctor and dentist appointments, we would appreciate if you could stay away from Thursday mornings. Even though this is a non-auditioned group, we are looking for commitment. A choir only works when we are all present and working together. If you child signs up for choir, please ensure that he/she can be in attendance as much as possible. Email is the primary form of communication, however notices will also be given to the students throughout the year.

Rehearsals will start on Thursday morning, September 6th.

We will have a Feeder Festival Concert on Tuesday, February 12th. The concert starts at 6:30pm, but singers are expected to arrive at 6pm to warm up with me. It will be at Sierra Middle School in the gym. This is a great opportunity for our choir to listen to other elementary school choirs in our feeder area. It is also a wonderful chance for them to listen to middle school choirs and high school choirs!

We will have our home concert on Thursday, February 21st. The students will get the chance to perform in front of their classmates at a 2pm assembly. The evening concert for parents to come enjoy will be at 6:00pm. It will be held in the Prairie Crossing gym. By that time, I’m sure your students will be very excited to show off all the hard work they have been doing in choir!

How do I sign up??

Please go to the Google Forms page above. It will ask for your student’s name, grade, whether or not they can attend all rehearsals (excused absences are OK) and the concert, and a good email that I can use to contact you. If you have multiple students who want to join choir, please fill out the appropriate amount of Google Forms. Your answers will only be seen by me!

Thank you so much for your interest in choir at PCE! I strongly believe that everyone can sing, and it is even more exciting when we all sing as one strong unit.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
